PETA recommends solving your Mazda's spider problems by... donating your car

If you think PETA is serious, take it from a vegetarian, they're just attention whores that really have done nothing to garner positive attention.

Almost as bad as PETA itself are the tired PETA jokes, e.g. PETA stands for People Eating Tasty Animals (har har har). It's not like that's been around the block before a few million times.

I've only heard bad things about their work to be perfectly honest. Stuff about them actually killing the animals they were supposed to take in, etc. ASPCA > PETA, but the loud obnoxious group apparently gets more press.

And this is why they get the press: stupid headlines that blogs/news outlets know will grab attention and page views.

Bungie on developing the character of Master Chief

Feb 2nd 2011 6:49PM (Joystiq)
@Dirk Hardpeck

I'm surprised nobody has drawn the parallel to the Twilight series. The main character in Twilight is portrayed with a very little amount of detail so that the reader can put herself in place of the main character. That's almost exactly what Bungie is saying here. I know Twilight is much hated on the Internet, and I feel that we should acknowledge our own parallel to it and why the lack of characterization is bad.

I absolutely agree with everyone saying that there should be a character behind the character. Sure, some will hate almost any character, but that's no excuse to not include a character. It's against the idea of storytelling to have a nondescript character.

There were some serious wall glitches in the Cantina map of heroes vs. villains on Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I'm still waiting on SW:BF3 if it ever drops though.
