It has nothing to do with cash versus cards. We do need to do a visual check on an ID card to make sure the names match up whenever someone uses a credit card, but we don't enter anything into the system.
Have you ever put a reserve on a game at GameStop or traded in an old game? If so, all the cash in the world isn't going to save you from having to give up some personal information.
Awesome! I enjoyed the heck out of the story, but I was a bit disappointed with the potential it had but didn't use. Hopefully this DLC will capitalize on that.
What makes it so sneaky is that the information is collected bit by bit. People don't mind to give out their phone number and last name to put a reserve down if they think that's all they're giving out, but what they don't realize is that their address and date of birth were collected for the games they traded in the week before.
Pretty much every type of transaction requires some type of information or another, and over time, the pieces of the puzzle fall together.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood reaches 6.5 million shipped
Feb 14th 2011 2:08PM (Joystiq)I'd say otherwise. Don't get me wrong, as far as quality is concerned they're both equal, but Mirror's Edge had such niché appeal. It didn't explode onto the market like Assassin's Creed did. That's not to say DICE couldn't improve on that, but it would take a lot of work to take sales from good to gold.
