RuneScape is another nice one, acting as a limitless free trial that doesn't have as many restrictions as other games.

@Heffer Wolfe I'll save you the trouble. 4 GB DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon 5770, AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE, any compatible motherboard, 600 watt psu. Will run you the price of launch consoles, but will play any game better, and will still be useful for the new console ports judging by specs that's been released so far.

CCP did say that there only PS3 exclusive for an amount of time. This is just going to make an even playing field for when the PC launch comes (if you see the glass half full) or create imbalance for controller players (if you see the glass half empty).

I haven't been participating in FFXI endgame the past months either sadly. I reached the then cap of 85 with my Warrior (or was it 90?) and haven't really played too often since, though I let my subscription for both keep going. The forums aren't painting a good picture for the game either, saying the trials to get weapons to the new endgame are the biggest grinds the game has yet.

XIV on the other hand I've been having a blast. The grind is nothing compared to XI's early days, and I like that I can log in for an hour to get my 4 or 8 leves done. I haven't done any endgame yet (the closest thing was a Thousand Maw run), but I'm enjoying myself more than I ever have in XI.

I'm glad the creator got on with his life and such. If a game was hurting him that bad, it needed to be cancelled. I'm just glad some can manage a game and a life at once, and get the best of both worlds :D

I'd rather have a system like Guild Wars. Tons of usefull skills, but only a certain amount to use at one time.
