As soon as PSN comes back...

1. Download new firmware
2. Remove credit card & address info from the PS3
3. change my password
4. Getting a $50 or $100 PSN card from a store or online and putting in my funds that way

Still no excuse for the PSN being hacked and then Sony taking this long to fix it.

Sony... You guys are pretty much never gonna get the PSN let alone the PS Store in a time for anything. You guys missed 2 PS Store updates (or was it 3 now)...and you've got a ton of pissed off clients (i.e. us gamers). Many gamers simply got fed up and traded in all their PS3s, games, etc.

And your "Welcome Back" program is half assed too.

1. PS+ 30 days is about $7 in value
2. If you get anything through the PS+ service, you need the continue the service to have access to the games, content, etc So you guys are basically trying to sell PS+ memberships
3. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe ONLY so far, is getting free games.
4. Your identify theft insurance up to $1 million for a year sounds great, but I imagine it'll cost us an arm & a leg after the 1 year trial? Identify theft should be a basic guarantee. I guess you guys are ready to get lawsuits after people who activate their 1 year trial and don't realize it is used up and automatically charged for another year...

Come on!!

Why did the hackers have to go attack PSN & the PS Store? If they wanted to attack someone, go attack like the CEOs and executive. They're already making billions a year.

This "apology" that Howard Stringer made was BS corporate stuff. He's just trying to make some good public relations on an obvious screw up on Sony's part. It's good that Sony is doing something, but it's not nearly enough and they're taking far too long.
