Xbox 360 Fancast 211 -- Penultimate

May 11th 2011 2:37PM (Joystiq)
This sucks very sad, X3F brought so much laughter to me every week and I now know how dangerous drop bears are. I have been listening for a very long time and whatever happens I hope it works out.

Sony still investigating scope of PSN attack as maintenance outage enters Day 6

Apr 25th 2011 5:20PM (Joystiq)
Wow this is sad, I’m just glad I don’t work for Sony’s IT department right now since they are probably pulling really long shifts for a service that doesn’t generate income on its own kind of like working for nothing, real motivating with executive whip cracking down on you, blaming IT for not protecting the Playstation network with every free dollar they earned. As for the complainers put the controllers and keyboards down and do something useful, spend time with your wife or girlfriend, clean your room or house, invent an infinite power source, further progress on your plans for world domination and fix Japan’s nuclear plant. The Sony underfunded IT department is probably working its ass off to get things up a running so sad little Johnny can play his COD or Portal, no offence to the Johnny’s of the world. The good news is this particular issue will never ever happen again, not to say that another million other problems could now happen.

Survey says Canadians don't want electric cars unless...

Mar 9th 2011 10:15PM (Autoblog Green)
I would probably look at EVs within the next 5-10 years or if gas prices hit $4-$5 per litre. I just bought a new Golf TDI and I’m very happy with the 30% increase in fuel economy in the city compared to my 2002 2.0L Suzuki but because its more efficient and doesn’t generate enough heat it has trouble keeping the engine temp up because of the extreme cold but that is what heated seats are for.

From what I have been reading the Nissan leaf EV range suffers in the extreme cold weather because the heating system uses just as much energy as keeping the car in motion. The winters are cold and long enough the last thing Canadians want is a cold car, yes you can plug it in and pre warm the car but I suspect these systems will be inadequate in Canada because of the power requirements in addition to heating the interior and charging the car don’t make it sound like a very green vehicle. Plus these EVs take forever and then some on a 110v 15amp outlet which we have almost everywhere outside.
