OMG. I did not even consider this product before at all. But seeing as how I'm in the market for a smart phone, I'm not gonna lie these commercials swayed me a bit. I could be watching these ads on that phone on this site while reading my comment. Then slide up the screen and shoot my friends in the face.
I am looking forward to this game. However, one complaint about the trailer: That noise at the end. The noise they use in nearly every trailer for action/FPS games and Sci-fi/action movies. It's starts at 2:05 and ends at 2:07, it's like everyone decided that noise was going to be 'the noise' to use to make something sound epic.
If it came out the 16th of October on my birthday, that would be the best birthday present in a long while. I have been waiting for this game too long.
@pickupdoctor I agree. Even my friends who all have PS3's are still on the fence about it. One of them unfortunately has a 1.5 Mbps connection (DSL) and is always complaining about having to wait so long for an update. He once had a 360 and was used to paying just to play online, so I find it weird that with all the benefits the Plus service brings he hasn't jumped at it yet.
First I get a bunch of free games and get early access to some pretty decent demos and betas and a free Qore subscription and automatic downloads that are a great time saver. NOW THIS. I don't know why people keep hating on Playstation Plus, it really does keep getting better and better.
@EatSleepChuck I do agree with this though. I mean, if I were a game developer I would want as many people able to try out my game as possible. I do think that it comes to regular PSN users next week though, like most of the Plus only demos.
@Jacksons I don't think it does. Just because you don't like the idea of the service for whatever reasons you have, doesn't mean it needs to go away. I have found a lot of use in it. Games I would normally have ignored like Zen Pinball have become favorites of mine. Automatic Downloads are a great time saver. NOTHING is worse then putting in a game and having to wait for an update before you get to play. I'm not saying you don't have the right to say what you said, you absolutely do. It's not like Sony is getting rid of the free online service and making you pay, then I would agree with you.
Though I am not interested in this game, this is BULL. I remember countless hours playing Mortal Kombat 2 on my Genesis as a kid. I turned out to be a shy, vegan pacifist. So, that whole argument "violent games make kids violent" obviously either doesn't apply to me for some reason, or is complete BS. They really honestly need an 18+ rating for their games. Do movies over there get treated the same way? Banning this game if anything is just going to drive up demand and make people who want it just order it from another country. That's tax dollars lost to the Australian government, their loss.
I was a big fan of the first game. Actually, playing the demo in store was what convinced me to buy a PS3 in the first place. I have not treated myself to a special edition of a game in a while, I think I will definitely be picking this up.
