Thanks, I'd agree I displayed a complete lack of ignorance as well.
Take you false dichotomy somewhere else. Other companies have nothing to do with this situation, nor is there any standard for email notification. At this point, they've sent out most if not all of the emails, so I'm unsure what you mean by months. Talk about ignorance!
The bottom line is that Sony knew they had a problem with security, knew the information was exposed, TOOK DOWN THE SERVICE THEMSELVES, and then lied about it. Or at the very least, were disingenuous. They should have notified their customer base immediately so they could take action to get new cards, change passwords, etc.
But that's too much for a raving fanboy like you to understand, I'm sure!
ITT: People defending Sony, a company who rarely has their interests at heart.
Network intrusions of course happen, but the delay of information was inexcusable. I love the guy who said it takes time to send lots of emails, as if they have to type millions of separate emails, or as if the technology was that of the 19th century postal service. Seriously, go f yourself.
@Lucky48, you can continue to rail against people who are pissed off, but the bottom line is that it's a frustrating situation. The PS network is a closed system that is eula authorized and should not be a danger area for personal info, regardless how stupid people might be with their info in other areas of their life.
wow, thanks. Owned an xbox since launch and didn't know that. Though I've never seen great deals from the on demand stuff. However, with ways to get cheap points, this is now an interesting option!
God I hope it's not the chameleon like dinosaur from the book. IIRC, in the book, the creature was pretty much invisible, blending in with chain link fences and other bs.
Um, no thanks. However, this is something from the fossil record, and the creatures in the Lost World were not. My guess is a mini- raptor like venomous dinosaur.
Too little too late, I'll be downloading the game and "demoing" it myself.
You can also thank CliffyB's attitude towards the PC crowd for that behavior. I *was* prepared to spend an extra $10 on this for the fun and leaderboards. Not anymore!
