Joyswag: Custom 'Comic Jumper' Xbox 360 [update]

Sep 23rd 2010 1:32PM (Joystiq)
I'd invite the characters from the Wii game Game Party, just to show them how a real game party is done.

Joyswag: Limited edition Resident Evil 5 'Chibi Majini' shirt and Desperate Escape DLC

Claire Redfield. It'd be nice to see her get a next-gen remake since we last saw her on RE:CV.

Fret Nice soloing on PSN this week [update]

Feb 2nd 2010 1:03PM (Joystiq)
According to the ESRB it's slated for both PSN and XBLA. If the 360 doesn't see it tomorrow or next week then I'm guessing timed exclusive for the title.

PSA: Games for Windows Live's Games on Demand launches

Dec 15th 2009 6:13PM (Joystiq)
Too bad the post forgot to mention Tinker which is FREE. That's worth something right there.

I don't mind the numerous options since I'm just starting to get back into PC gaming. The only reason I like Games For Windows is because I can use my Xbox 360 profile there. Other than that, it's simply there. It now just gives me an alternate store to grab stuff from, that's all.

BTW, anyone know how the community is for Shadowrun nowadays? I'll grab it for $10 but only if there seem to still be people playing it. If not, I'll leave it alone.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Diner Dash, Gyromancer

Nov 18th 2009 7:05PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Good video, as always.

I had to get Diner Dash for my sister or else she would kill me but since there's multiplayer in there, I figure I'll give it a shot. As for Gyromancer, the vids make it look good. Even though I finished my run with Puzzle Quest and Galactrix, I think this will be a good purchase for me. Too bad about the lack of multiplayer, though.

Sony confirms standalone 250GB PS3 for US at $349

They will, possibly early next year. They have to make the COD bundle a bit more attractive to users this holiday season first then worry about current owners a bit later.

@acefondu: What version of the PS3 did you get? If it was the 60GB/20GB/original 80GB then it was worth it for the BC. I got my 20GB PS3 off eBay less than a year after launch and installed a 160GB there a month later. Don't regret it a bit.

High price point, yes, but that extra $50 includes an extra controller and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. considering that the game costs $60 and the controller $50, it doesn't seem too bad. That package is also limited edition so once the COD consoles are gone, they'll be gone. (Yeah, Limited Edition means nothing now, but still). Once it goes away, that brings Sony back to being the priciest console on the block.

But for double the HDD space, the price is worth it, mostly for those who don't know or are unwilling to upgrade the HDD on the PS3 themselves. Good move, Sony.

Madden NFL Arcade coming to XBLA & PSN; $15 this Dec.

John Elway on Sega Genesis? I think you meant Joe Montana. The last time Elway had a game of his own it was on the NES... and it wasn't pretty.

PSN Thursday: Vomit up $7 for Critter Crunch, support the disgustingly adorable

Oct 8th 2009 7:18PM (Joystiq)
Aside from pandemonium and Critter Crunch, not too happy for the week's releases, specifically for the PSP. I would have thought that after the launch of the PSPgo Sony would continue a stream of Legacy UMD releases or put out more PSOne titles. Even more week-long sales of what's already out there would be interesting for those new PSP owners. Here's hoping that next week is better than this one.
