According to the article, the image isn't being compressed but striped of duplicate files and dummy data. Pretty much what most of us CAGers have thought since this occurred.

Good to know that the theory was correct. Now if we could figure out why some titles won't install at all that would be better :)

One reason is because it seems like Harmonix did more than just take the Rock Band formula and just slap on new character models and music to it. The dreamscape sequences (sessions where the band isn't playing in front of a crowd) show off their artistry and make it more like a music video than anything else. Couple that with 6 player gameplay (3 singers along with the rest of the band) and you have a significant change made to the series that doesn't seem to be superfluous.

Another reason is that this is one of the few musical acts that doesn't have any form of digital media associated with them. Outside of physical CDs, there are no official MP3 recordings of any of their music. iTunes, probably the largest online MP3 dealer out there, doesn't even have any of their songs and yet this video game has some of their big ones on disc and everything else coming though DLC. That's significant enough for any fan to get excited over.

Also, we can at least feel confident in knowing that they won't get the voiceless animated cutscenes that the Guitar Hero series has done since Legends of Rock. Not that I hate those scenes but I think the boys from Liverpool deserve better.

I think you guys forgot to mention that a third demo hit today: X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The demo of Battlestations: Midway also hit yesterday for those that are curious.

The Strong Bad titles would be my favorite title on WiiWare so far. Been craving a good adventure game for a while and this certainly fit the bill.

Not sure about an exact list of new films but I know that the limit on your instant queue is 500. This includes movies that you placed on the queue before but got removed because their time limit on the instant queue service expired due to the licensing agreements Netflix has with those studios. With those expired movies, once they come back on the service they instantly get placed on the queue again. You an also remove them if you wish in order to place more movies on the queue.
