Dang it! I just traded up my 20gb pre HDMI 360 for a 4gb slim with kinnect! 7 days just cost me about $250 ($150 kinnect, $99 hdd)

It looks like a old ps1 game. The psp game at least looked decent.

Doesn't Sony have a gag order on this Douche bag? I would think he would not be allowed to comment about Sony systems and applications.

Hacker group 'Anonymous' attacks Sony and PSN

@zsavior

"The Majority of the Internet is NOT on Sony's side, Sell that load of BS here."

Let me know when I can vote on the poll.

"Xbox360 has a large amount of online gamers, I don't see MS complaining about this, I don't even hear about this on steam. "

Players are banned from xbox live on a regular basis. And I suspect most players agree with MS banning them. I would support Sony doing the same thing.

I support Sony protecting their products, the companies who spend millions making the games, and the thousands of individuals who worked on them.

And Yes, I buy music downloads from the artists and iTunes because I know music is not free.

I do not wish to see the console market to be impacted by cheaters/hackers the way the music, PC and PSP gaming markets have.

George Hotz needs to understand that just because you can, doen't mean you should. BTW how long do consider his extended trip "spring break" and not evasion?

Hybrid preview: A new breed

The lack of free player movement is interesting.

The automated character movement from selected location (cover) to location could open up more strategic planning. Multiplayer could be something full to plan out.

Microsoft Research shows the possible future of split-screen technology

@Prboi

You are incorrect.

The now dated tech demo shows that the ps eye does track the body, head, and can tell the difference between different people.

I agree its not ground breaking. It just shows that they are choosing a different level of interactivity. For me, a game like Children of Eden could be a good test of an motion gaming.

@Mal F4cti0n

Multi camera measuring/ positioning systems have been around for decades. Every web cam I have purchased in the last 5 years has had face detection if not facial feature detection. For an install base, heck it took Nintendo only 6 hours today to install 400K 3D cameras with AR software into homes.

My point was that the video really appeared to show MS strapping kinnect hardware, into existing development concepts. nothing appeared to be "only now" capable because of kinnect. And come on, who didn't think toy periscope when he showed the light slab.

I for one am surprised MS is this far BEHIND in research. People have been playing with these technologies for decades. They could easily find themselves in a MS Surface situation. They have a product but no practical applications.
