Report: Sony 'on brink of upheaval' - factory, division closures
Jan 6th 2009 2:21AM (Joystiq)Its a perfect example of a company failing to learn the lessons of the past. Remember Nintendo 64? the console you trounced with the first ps1? A console that with Nintendos Blind arrogance thought that brand name alone meant it was assured of Console dominance? No company should assume that their brand, no matter how strong or how dominant it was, guarantees continued success. A lesson to all companies, The consumer is king.
Wii Sports is best-selling game of all time, according to VGChartz
Jan 5th 2009 2:45AM (Joystiq)Well just goes to show you that if Wii gets some good news the whingers will find any excuse to rag on the Wii. Its fun watching them try.
Reggie: Wii production up; holiday supply might not meet demand ... again
Oct 28th 2008 5:40AM (Joystiq)Face it. Game over man. Wii wins this generation there is no way in hell the other 2 are going to come close (if u look at the current sales trends). Sheesh shortages 3 Christmas in a row, man that must really make u hardcore fanboys squirm hahahhahaha.
'WAAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAH'
thats all i hear these days from the hardcore fanboys. Waaaah Waaaaah Nintendo dont cater for me - so look else where whiner. Whaah waah I sold my Wii - do your research next time you buy, dont blame Nintendo cause you cant think for yourself. Do your own research to see if this is the right product for you.
Sheesh like little babies who dont get there way. Grow up brats and quit your crying, well continue if you want too i enjoy it aswell LOL.
Did you hardcores all of the sudden have no more games because of the Wii? Umm seems like there are plenty on offer on the 360 or ps3 so what you complaining about? If the Wii stopped you from getting the games you want i could understand the complaints but when you fanboys get what you want what you want then why all the Whine? Bitter are we? Hmmm
Just love how much Nintendos success makes those hardcore fanboys cry hahahha, pass the kleenex boys its going to be a deluge!!! HAHAHAHA

Nielsen stats: PlayStation 2 most played system in June
Jul 26th 2007 10:46PM (Joystiq)I'd also like to add this little piece of information Joystiq has not. From IGN
http://au.wii.ign.com/articles/807/807852p1.html
Wii has almost reached the 10 million Wiis sold mark (9.27 Million to be exact) which was achieved in around 8 months time. The 360 which has been for sale for around 18 months has sold only 11.6 million. Wii will be #1 by years end at this rate.
May NPD: Nintendo still on top, industry sales up 49%
Jun 14th 2007 9:30PM (Joystiq)And queue crickets. What are you ranting about? I don't see much hate for Nintendo, only praise, so god just shut up. Odds are all companies will end up doing well when all is said and done.

Um did you just stumble on this site today or something? You heard of Jack of No trades, GodisaMyth etc etc? These are examples of Nintendo haters that went to every piece of Nintendo news to make anti Nintendo comments, I never remember them always giving praise to Nintendo. If you don't have a clue please don't comment, because its obvious you don't have any.
15. please Wii'ers. stop. just stop.
the Wii has opened up a whole new market. casual gaming. yes, its all "videogames" but the Wii is NOT direct competition for the PS360.
there are more casual gamers than hardcore gamers, congratulations. so why are you incessantly celebrating?

So can we all now admit, 7+ months after it has launched that Nintendo got it right with the Wii? Considering all the naysayers claiming that Nintendos approach to this generation was merely a gimmick & was largely met with ridicule from a large part of the gaming community (mainly ardent ps3/360 fans), the continued strong success of the Wii (kicking 360 and ps3 tail) despite the lack of AAA exclusives and online is a nice 'slap in the face' to all those Nintendo haters that kept predicting the Wiis early demise. Hey it might be childish but it sure is FUN - just like the Wii.
What if the 360 was enjoying those sales you wouldn't have something to be happy about? Puhlease!
May NPD: Nintendo still on top, industry sales up 49%
Jun 14th 2007 8:27PM (Joystiq)Nintendo haters lets hear your predictions for the next 6 months please so we can have a good laugh at how good analysts you are.
Wii Warm Up: SMAAAASH!
Jun 3rd 2007 10:51PM (Joystiq Nintendo)I used to be a real Ness master in SSB. What i would do is once i got the target over the side i would wait at the edge while they make there recovery jump. When they got close enough i would jump towards them so i would end up just above the target. Then i would perform a 'Kickdown' (A+ down i think it is, Ness to my knowledge is the only character that is capable of doing this) move. If done correctly it would send the target downwards into oblivion with little to no chance of recovery, even if the target has sustained only minor damage!!!. Of course its not without its pitfalls. Miss time any of the move (& the subsequent recovery jump) and you end up losing a life. But damn when it worked it infuriated the other players. Unfortunately nowadays i find it increasingly difficult to do this manuever.
Of all the characters in SSB the one i hated the most was Pikachu. My brother used him and his favourite move was to chain juggle the target off the screen with his lightning. Pissed me off to no end, especially how cheap and easy it is to do compared to my very risky and difficult Kickdown manuever.
