Microsoft releases Windows Embedded Automotive 7

Omg...another use for this garbage operating system in a car...just tell the cop it crashes and it forced the car to speed...I bet you could get away with so many tickets that way...its like a license to not follow the rules! hahaha

Review: 2010 Honda Civic Si HFP not fast, is curious

Jul 29th 2010 2:38PM (Autoblog)
This "review" is so full of fail. Your facts are just blatantly incorrect. I don't even have to list them since its been mentioned in the comments so many times already. One thing I will bring up is price. Whenever this car is reviewed they always state..."Honda Civic Si costs 25k fully loaded and Brand X car costs the same so it must be a better deal." I don't know where your buying your Civic Si's from...but I got my brand new 2007 Civic Si for $19,320 from Edison Honda in NJ. My fiance also has the exact same car in white and when we comparison shopped against the Mazda 3, GTi and Jetta GLi they were nearly all 5k more then the civic. The Mazda 3 isn't nearly as fun to drive, its down on power and like both the GTi and GLi cost 5k more yet don't handle nearly as well, get way worse gas mileage and won't last forever like a true honda only can.

At the end of the day if you want an extremely fun car to drive, one that gets pretty damn good gas mileage, won't cost you an arm and a leg in monthly payments, lasts forever, costs nothing to fix, isn't a tire eater or oil hog there is only one car in my mind....the Honda Civic Si.

Blockbuster voices "substantial doubt" about ability to survive

Apr 7th 2009 1:47PM (Engadget)
I must admit I will be slightly sad to see them go....if they truly do go out of business. I mean its nice to be able to go down to the store and get a dvd whenever I want..plus rent a game whenever. Now I do pay a huge premium for that "privilege" because new rentals are $5.35 and game rentals are $9.35 which I think is completely out of control. But the way I look at it is I can pretty much keep the game for as long as I want without a late fee and its better then buying some stupid game that I'm going to beat in a month anyway for $60! But I do agree with everyone else that their prices are out of control, their selection is crap and their "total access" prices are laughable. But I've been going to that blockbuster since I was a little kid and renting movies and games...it will be sad to see it go. If only they would wake up and realize the error of their ways...drop prices, increase selection, drop late fees completely, don't charge your credit card for the full price of the game if you keep it out too long and rent online for cheaper then in store and they would have a winning combination. But alas they will not wake up, the corporate zombies who run blockbuster will run it into the ground and they will go out of business leaving netflix. Which isn't a good thing because without competition they can set the price to whatever they want...thats not good either : (

Microsoft on RROD: The worst is behind us

Feb 17th 2009 2:02PM (Joystiq)
Baby J Penn why dont you shut the hell up! Wahh wahh dont support them blah blah blah. Dude I have a PS3 and a freaking Wii!!!! Just so happens every single game I want to play is on the xbox360!!!!! There is nothing we can do about this problem because you simply just cant fight microsoft....and I have every damn right to complain all I want about a system who's shelf life is anywhere between 1 day and 1 year...xbox360 is the worst console of all time when it comes to reliability. I have owned consoles for over 25 years and not one....NOT ONE OF MY CONSOLES IS BROKEN!!!!!
I can't even begin to tell you how angry it makes me that they keep pulling this bullshit with every piece of crap they come out with and there is nothing we can do about it.

Microsoft on RROD: The worst is behind us

Feb 17th 2009 1:53PM (Joystiq)
Microsoft is such a terrible company when it comes to caring about their customers....remember they never take a "financial risk". Or at least that is how Balmer put it in a recent interview.

You know what Microsoft you can burn in hell for bringing out a system you knew was faulty. I've had my console RROD of me multiple times...every single one of my friends systems is RROD and they just bought new ones. I'm planning on buying another just to play SF4. I hate the fact that the games are so good and the system is so weak. BIGGEST EPIC FAILURE EVER!! Microsoft I can't even give you a big enough middle finger to justify how I fell about you and every one of your crappy products...that includes every piece of hardware you make and every piece of software. I hate everything that comes from you. I love apple computers and their software just to piss you off a little bit more. F@ck you Microsoft...f@ck you.

MS admits to 360 audio problems caused by NXE, working towards a 'solution'

Dec 2nd 2008 10:51AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Its just not users with HDMI losing all sound from games. Im going through component with the digital audio cable and I too lose sound randomly while starting a game. A quick system reboot seams to fix the problem but it has happened to me around 3-4 times since I downloaded and installed the NXE. I trust Microsoft will be looking into this issue because they really are putting forth a lot of effort into the whole NXE...I mean come on what else have they got going for them right now...windows vista or windows 7...haha yea right!
