@DV8ing1 There's a trade-off between immersion and visibility: the more immersed you are, the less you can see. The combat in Baldur's Gate and its progeny has always revolved around fighting waves of enemies on expansive battlefields. OTS view, while immersive, limits what you can see, so it is not ideal for such a combat style; tactical zoom is.
Dragon Age 2 will either force players to fight on huge battlefields while staring at the back of their character's head or shrink the battlefields to accommodate the limited OTS perspective. Either way, it will deviate heavily from its (successful) roots.
