@marringtea Protip: Write your application in Notepad. Make it look good there. If you need some sort of table of contents, look to your favorite Gamefaqs guides for inspiration.
@Roxas560 Never hurts to apply, as long as you're not being a complete idiot about it. (That is, don't apply for jobs where you're not even remotely qualified if you don't want to just piss off the HR drone reading your resume.)
Worst case, you get a bit more practice writing applying for jobs. Best case, you get a job. Where's the downside?
If they want to developer for 3DS, why not? Maybe the game is better-suited for 3DS? Or maybe they recognize that the 3DS will probably exceed the market penetration of either the 360 or the PS3?
@LainaLain This is not about how we do, but how we can. Most people are quite capable of understanding the thoughts of others, but don't give a damn most of the time. Others would love to be able to, but simply can't.
You know how, before you get to know someone, you don't really know what it is that might set them off? Imagine always being like that with everyone -- imagine never understanding why people get upset when you do something. I mean, sure, you might be able to recognize a pattern after a while, and you might know that "if I do X, person Z will be angry with me," but if you never know why, wouldn't that be incredibly frustrating?
Except, of course, that real people are judgemental, and, more to the point, those with social disorders (not to say that Asperger's is a social disorder, but many aspects of it resemble social disorders) tend to avoid people due to their own social failings.
I know there are a lot of people out there who still think that throwing the toddler into the pool is the best way to teach him to swim, but -- and I know this might be shocking -- it usually isn't.
Imagine being an eleven-year-old trying to participate socially in college, and maybe you'll have an idea of what it's like for those with social disorders to "just do things." It's not quite that simple.
