Nintendo: 80 percent of female console gamers prefer Wii

Nov 26th 2009 11:12AM (Joystiq)
80 percent of female gamers aren't real gamers.

Rumor: Project Natal launch details leaked

I would think Microsoft would price this thing the way they price their consoles, with very limited profit (at least initially). They need this thing to be successful way more than they need it to be profitable. At least that's my completely uniformed analysis of the situation.

Game Informer confirms Epic Mickey as Wii exclusive

Definitely no headset! He doesn't play online either though, mostly cause he doesn't understand the queuing system. But I wouldn't let him wear the headset anyway, I'm positive there's people that would start cussing just cause it was a 4 year old on.

Accidentally posted this outside the reply... oops...

But he's good at it! :) Actually, I'm a firm believer that most video games changes the way your brain thinks in a good way. It excercises it in ways it wouldn't otherwise be (makes him aware of his location, remembers events, quicker reflexes).

As for behavior, I do find he repeats the stuff he sees in the game (creaping around corners, crawling under tables, playing dead...), but I harp on him constantly that it's just make pretend, and guns in real life are not good, and I think he gets it. I let him play UFC once, and he went around the house trying to hit and tackle everybody, needless to say, that was the last time he played that (I think wii boxing would have a similar effect).

Anyway, I think kids can handle this stuff as long as you're a good parent and keep an eye on them.

Come on Disney!!! I need something on the 360 so my 4 year old will stop playing Call of Duty 4 so much!

So, is there a reason why only iphone 3gs has this encryption? Is it a hardware thing?

Sony shows off PS3 facial recognition tech

Sep 10th 2009 3:17PM (Joystiq)
This wasn't really what I was thinking when I thought of facial recognition. I was thinking more along the lines of the PS3 being able to tell not just that it's looking at a face, but who's face it's looking at.
