Valve currently gains nothing by being transparent. Valve is probably being honest that sales charts don't mean much, as its Steam marketing drives demand for games through advertisements, tie-ins, and discounts. It's counterproductive for Valve to publish charts that show that games are currently unpopular, and then turn around and try to get people to buy "loser" games.

@Admiral White There's no issue with what you described. The ratings are a guideline, and parents can give their kids M rated games. Not every parent agrees with the ratings or with the generalized maturity it expects based on age.

@Cranky Penguin By cheapskate you mean someone who has so many great games to play that they prefer to wait until the entire game is available before playing it.

@BananaBoat That would only validate your hypothetical decision to not want to marry her. Being right wouldn't be worth it, though.

Aww, I don't have a Wii, but Dragon Quest is great. Hopefully this new one will be fun for the people who can play it. I was lucky to have a PS2 and a DS so that I didn't miss out on IV, V, VIII, and IX. (I don't have VI yet.)

Atlus continues to release games with style. I didn't play this the first time around but a definitive version is appealing.

@sigma8 I'd tell my fans to directly donate $5, but I don't have enough fans to get $1.5 million. She does, which is nice for Japan.
