So basically EA shouldn't win based simply on the service and product it provides? Look, the way I see it is you should vote for how the company treats it's employees, consumers, and the industry it's apart of. The worst of what BoA has done like contribute to the economic collapse was out of complete ineptitude, not necessarily avarice. Moreover, while BoA's action are often worse they are often on a smaller scale when you exclude the latter and I've never heard of a BoA employee issue. EA on the other hand knowingly treats it's developers like tampons and it's customers like money trees complete with manure nourishment in place of games. EA is setting industry standards that nickel and dime people every which want and are slowly leading the games industry to another crash. Now if I had to compare both just plainly I'd say BoA is the worst based on a technicality of the service it provides. Now when I look at it from the point of who's worse compared to the rest of their respective industries I think it's EA easily, because for all the bad BoA does there are many other banks just as bad. The same can't be said of EA with only Activision rivaling them. See guys it's this kind of thinking "video games aren't important" that lets them get away with this kind of behavior in the first place. We can't turn a blind eye to any of these terrible companies.
Well I can't reply to people but on the topic of the movies I just recently watched them myself. I must say that both films - in particular Alien - have held up very well visually. I really enjoyed the first one overall but I think that because I knew about general Alien lore and what not the surprises like the acid blood and chestburster lessened the impact of those scenes for me. The second one was a step down into mediocrity though, and I know I'm opening a can of worms with that. The characters often felt like caricatures and the dialog was often cringe worthy that ultimately made me stop taking the movie seriously. It had some great moments though and I think it's those moments along with the setting that really make the franchise what it is. Because as far as judging it by modern movie standards I don't think it's good.
I enjoyed LoS but it had some annoying flaws. The camera wasn't as tight as it should have been, there was a lot of hand holding in that they clearly pointed out key objects, places, or items and thus removed a lot of the difficulty outside of combat, and they had the most annoying checkpoints in that game.
The point of a DEDICATED server is that all of it's resources are dedicated to hosting the game. When you host a game on the same machine you play your computer is taking in many connections at the same time you play the game. This can lead to performance issues. This is why you host the game on a separate machine and play the game on another.
You obviously have no idea how expensive it is to run your own private server. This is actually a really good service they are providing at a more than reasonable price. Then again many console gamers seem to be content with P2P gaming, so whatever.
As much as I'd like to see EA get nailed to a cross I just think the lawsuit comes off as desperate. Oh wow they deleted the names but kept the stats. I really don't see it being worthy of a lawsuit. No one buys madden for that crap anyway.

You're right but that's a totally different topic. This is EA vs Retired NFL players not NFL vs Retired NFL players.
Woah, what the hell is up with all the hate for Obsidian? Especially when they're helping with design and not programming, a perfect roll for them. I mean jeez when the writer for Planescape: Torment and other former Black Isle Studios guys want to team back up where both handle their strong suits how can that possibly be a bad thing?
