As far as Kickstarter campaigns go you don't get back any of that money but you get every reward up to your level of donating. So someone gets that picture + eating with Tim + the poster + all the other jazz in between.
I bought the first game but was quite disappointed when I realized I could just spam my pistols every few feet to see if new enemies had spawned. If they had then I usually killed them before ever seeing them. My fault for taking all the fun out of the game (and even beating boss battles in similar ways when possible) but I wish the game wouldn't allow me to break it quite so hard.
This is exactly what I thought of when I saw the trailer for this game. My issue isn't so much with the graphics (they're bad but so are the graphics on tons of my old games that I loved) but that the gameplay didn't look terribly compelling.
I may just be missing something important but nothing in the trailer said "Wow, that's an intereting mechanic/twist on something" that makes me want to play it. I'll still try it out if there's a demo/trial but the trailer deterred me more than it excited me.
Not all characters were beefy in the past. Maybe "radically different" for them is going back to stuff like Jazz Jackrabbit (I wish but I doubt it) or UT2K4 (again, doubt it but I wish).
They should've dumped all of their other projects years ago and stuck with making more Mechassailt titles instead of letting the series die after the garbage that was Lone Wolf.
I did a quick search on Google and looked over the Spartans from Megabloks but they don't quite match up (as far as I can tell) with the Spartan outfits in this so it stands to reason that they may have also been done by BrickArms (www.brickarms.com ; it's in the credits) but you'd have to ask the creator to verify.
Many of us loved that game more than life itself. Seeing as MA was my favorite game of all time that I'd still play it on occasion if the original Xbox servers were still up I can attest to this. As can the rest of the diehard MA community.
