I just got a new job at a video game developer. I am working in the audio department. I would love to use these to work.

It's not that "developers didn't use the extra time to polish up the graphics for the PS3". There was no extra time most development companies didn't get hardware until long, long after they needed it. In some cases only a month before shipping. The PS3 isn't a magic box that makes things look better, it's a complicated piece of machinery that requires time to optimize. In this case with little or no support from Sony.
