I have this game on a cartridge sitting next to my GBA SP and could play it right now if I wanted, but I'm still about to log into the eShop and spend $4 on it.

You don't already have this on GBA.

In addition of the 12 stages from the GBA game, they added:

-A new single player mode
-At least three new "retro" themed stages
-At least three new "heroic" stages

In addition to that... it's free.

If I can use my current log in to take maps on the go, then awesome, day 1 purchase. If it's completely separate and incompatible with PC maps, then this seems like a major waste.

Exclusivity rocks--it defines platforms and breeds competition. As just a quick example, games like Modnation Racers wouldn't exist if Mario Kart wasn't exclusive.

That said, it sucks as an Android owner that games still go iOS exclusive despite Android's considerably larger install base.
