Battlefield 3 won't have any mod tools at launch

Guess we can agree to disagree on the "map packs". My original point was directed towards lack of support and the early demise of a should-be great game. BC2 is the greatest shooter ever made IMO. But, it's never worked as is should... admittedly by DICE.

I've been playing Battlefield since 1942. Mods kept both 1942 and BF2 alive for years after DICE moved on and stopped creating new content. BF3 was supposed to be the great successor to BF2 for the PC guys (I play both PS3 and PC by the way).

I get it that you're a big supporter... that's cool. I also agree with you that mod tools aren't necessarily a critical element at release. But, DICE / EA stating that their engine is "too complicated" for the modding community is both arrogant and BS!

Did you even play BC2??? What's your gamertag? Regurgitating all the rush / conquest maps into conquest / rush maps doesn't count. The put out one true map pack and never fixed at least a dozen fundamental problems with the game.

BTW, my names my old gamertag (level 50) and I'm a rank 26 on my 2nd.

No Mod Tools = DICE wants to sell all their own DLC until they've milked every last penny. BF2 Mods like Point of Existence and Allied Intent 2 were freaking superior in every way to the original game. The Desert Combat Mod for 1942 was superior in every way to the original.

Prepare for another BC2... as soon as the money dries up, they'll quit supporting the game. It will be dead in one year just like BC2 ( and BF2 would have been without the mods)... but maybe that's exactly what they want.

Twisted Metal looks very cool... like a greatly improved and updated version of TM2. Not sure why the article reads "holiday season" though... what holiday are we talking about in October? Anyway, it will be a great horrortastic fun for Halloween time.

What's up with that last scene? Hope this game doesn't go where that scene's alluding. I'd hate to have to scratch an otherwise great game off my list for promoting/showing that BS.
