I remember long long ago, like over 6 years ago, Kingdom of loathing announced that when ascension was rolled out characters would be wiped. I quit shortly after that was announced. As it turned out, characters weren't wiped but I didn't find that out until years later, and by that time my character was gone. So in short, no I wouldn't keep playing past the announcement of the incoming wipe even, though I may play much later when enough is added to make it seem fresh, so in this case I probably would keep playing.

These facebook games are stupid, all you do is click on stuff and you advance forward, and occasionaly buy things to get ahead. Now if you will excuse me I must go play Lord of the Rings Online.
