@Al Ferreira I really understand what you're saying. Since I first got Kinect Adventures, I always kinda looked at the Kinect as a home version of those really neat installations they have at, say, DisneyQuest. When I judge them versus something like L. A. Noire, they're obviously not nearly as substantive, but I can enjoy them for what they are.
That said, it looks like this one is a little sloppier and less fine-tuned than Kinect Adventures or Kinect Sports. But I agree with you that Kinect games are sort of on a different metric and should probably be judged that way.
Stray observation: every single review for this says the game sucks except for a certain game... and that's been a different one in pretty much every review. I found one that really enjoyed the Rancor game, and quite a few liked the podracing, but this is the first one I've seen that liked the space combat.
Could it be that the grab bag approach offered a little something for different people? That there's a sliver of merit in this package based on what type of game you prefer?
Probably not, but it's a weird trend for a cash-in game like this and certainly something to think about.
I don't like Notch, but I've been dying for something along the lines of the X series and Vega Strike for a while. I hope he's learned not to bite off more than he can chew this time, because I REALLY want this to be good.
I can't tell if VG Cats is trying to tell jokes anymore... or even who they're satirizing. Anyway, they used the word "irregardless," so I hope they burn in a fire.
As a fan of Myst, I was really looking forward to this game, but I'm so turned off by the notion that all the puzzles are mazes. I don't care how enlightened we'll feel for completing them or whatever he said; that's embarrassingly little variety!
Maybe the reports are wrong. I'll wait a bit after it comes out to gauge reactions.
Honestly, those are the ones that matter. I have fond memories of Cold and Mixmaster Mike, but they got Funky Dealer, Guitar Vader, and Bout the City. Deal!
@Traptz As a proud member of the PC master race that still plays Quake clones... I ask you to please use your indoor voice. Controllers are a perfectly fine alternative to mouselook. I get more precision and feel like I'm in better control with the mouse, but gamepads will do in a pinch.
Much as I enjoyed the PC version, the slower pace of Halo has always been best suited for dual-analog controls.
