Excitebike is actually really, really good! Totally worth the 200 coins.

@Robert Boyd Gotcha! I wasn't ripping on your game or anything, it's just that I wish Microsoft handled the whole indie game thing better. You don't know how pissed when I wanted to show my friend a few of the games that I had gotten off the service, but I couldn't because my DSL router was on the fritz. THAT SUCKED BALLZ!!!!

Now that I think about it, I wonder how Microsoft is going to handle the transition of the indie games section to their new console and how that will affect those who are planning to hold off for a while on getting it. It would be cool if MS decided to allow those who are going to stick to the 360 the ability to play their indie games offline since more than likely they are going to shift their servers away from the old Xbox consoles over to whatever the new system will be called. Even though the games are super duper cheap, it's still money that I paid for content that I do own. It would totally suck if MS decided against removing that required constant internet connection thing that all indie games are forced to have, thus making my purchases completely worthless.

BTW, Grandia 1 totally rocks!

All of you bastards who bitched about Xenoblade Chronicles and Last Story not coming stateside better man up and buy them. If ya'll don't then I better not hear anyone complain about how there are no JRPGs on the Wii-U or whatever it'll be called. I know I'm gonna be getting them and I never even bothered with that whole Operation Rainfall thing.

Why did it have to be on XBL Indie games? That service is shitty for forcing me to constantly be online to play those games. Sorry, but I'm going to have to pass on this one and be content with the first two episodes.

Final Fantasy VIII is now behind me and it looks like Evolution Worlds might not be that far behind it. I'm currently in the final dungeon and it shouldn't take me more than a couple of hours to wrap it up. Also, I went ahead and started up No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise for the PS3. Even thought I'm enjoying it, I kinda wished I hadn't booted it up since Xenoblade Chronicles is now only a week away. Lastly, I'm still working my way through Tales of Eternia for the PSP. Whenever I finish that, I'll then probably start up White Knight Chronicles: Origins.

Sega canceling games, cutting jobs in US and Europe to restructure [update: SOA statement]

I really, really, really hope this doesn't affect the Yakuza games. Those, and Valkyria Chronicles, are the best thing to ever, EVER come from SEGA.

My year long quest to defeat Grandia 2's (almost) final boss

Mar 28th 2012 8:52PM (Joystiq)
I had no problem with finish off Grandia 2. My only issue with the game was that it was nowhere near as good as the sublime original. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Grandia 1 is the best game ever to come from GAME ARTS.

WRUP: Pitching Indies

Jade Empire is done and out of here. All that's left is Final Fantasy VIII, of which I'm about to finish the 3rd disc, Evolution Worlds, and Tales of Eternia for the PSP. Whenever I finish both games, I'm going to get started on my brand new, $20 copy of Mass Effect 3 which should be coming my way by Monday.
