So you're saying it's totally unbelievable that there's one black person in the world who personifies this character? This isn't mean to represent a whole race. There are other less than desirable characters in the game...why is this the only one that's complained about? The main bad guy is white! C'mon!
Spot on...There's homeless white people, an Asian mob, and a Mexican 'dealer' for crying out loud lmao. I swear some people feel guilty that they're white.
They portray themselves in a negative light sometimes. It isn't just 'racist' game developers. If there's at least one of these characters in real life, then why can't there be one in the game?
If everyone wants racism to stop "existing" then stop trying your hardest to point it out where it's not. David I've always enjoyed listening to you on the podcast, but this is just fishing for a story that isn't there. It's like progressive has stopped meaning bringing our society to a better place, and now means crying over non-issues. Articles like this are only feeding the media that tries to blame video games for everything. If you want the medium you so dearly love to be able to move past being blamed for everything, then stop attempting to hinder its progress as an art form.
*sigh* Many forms of media do this exact same type of thing. Whether it's based on race, sexual orientation, political standing, or other. This isn't a "stereotype". I've seen this kind of acting from a black woman before. Does that make me racist? No. Observant? Yes. If everyone would calm down about political correctness then maybe our society could advance past these petty uproars.
