I'm no expert, but I expect a case could be made based on confusion that these energy wristbands are affiliated with EA Sports, especially since the release of EA Active games. You are right about the product categories, but there is a crossover here.

Some games have them integrated like Crash Course or Full House Poker, but in general you never see them. Avatar items like these you see in lobbies and your friend list, which is hardly ever. Yes, they are a money suck, but ones like these are free with a game and personally I enjoy unlocking them. Meat Boy was really hard work. I bought a couple to balance out my MS points because I'm OCD like that, but they are a rip off. Not sure about what the new dash will do to them.
