@eat it The way I look at MoH:Multiplayer is... They didn't give a shit. The probably had a few people from DICE working on that and the rest were still working on BF3. And the lack of support was because they were working on BF3.
It could have been so much better if another studio handled the multiplayer IMO, that way EA just doesn't have DICE for killer MP games.
@RstyShackleFrd This is exactly why I hate it. I guess people don't understand the hate isn't baseless. I loved the old ones (COD4 and before) because it was skill based... Learn from your mistakes, etc. Not anymore-- there's a thousand ways to die randomly in these games now and you have basically no control over it.
@Aguiluz I would never buy a game with that tech, specifically because I just don't have the USB space to do something like that. (mini monitor, wacom tablet, printer, mouse, keyboard, external harddrive, microphone, webcam) Not to mention if other games follow suit, your going to have to keep switching dongles to play games. You lose the dongle, you lose your game. And when it does get cracked, then people would have even more incentive to pirate it than ever before since it's such an oppressive DRM tactic. It may work for now, but it would backfire as soon as it gets cracked.
@Ospov you technically need an 'origin' account to play BF2, BF2142, and BC2. It's essentially your login info. BF3 has just changed the way you login. You don't login though the game now, but though the download manager. That isn't too bad.
Plus, with all the recent news (you will find out more tomorrow), the DICE devs really DO listen to the PC community. Comm rose is in for PC, 3D spotting has been semi-removed, LAN support, no auto-stabilization on helicopters (just like in BF2).
You could go on and on with this, but if it's about Origin vs Steam-- it isn't as big of a deal as it is made out to be.
Piss off Activision. You're just trying to get some sales away from BF3 for PC players. You will sure enough throw us back to the curb like you did with the MW2 and Black ops.
@DangerMouse001 I Think the concept irks me the most. Origin is another download system I have to have running to play a game. Launch that to launch your internet browser to login to battle log. If I'm clicking "play" though battle log, why the hell do I need origin and why the hell am i logging in twice?
Dumb.
But the fact that your origin account is linked to all of EA makes it easier to just deal with. It can also raise a lot of security issues. Get your password hacked? There goes all your origin games, BF3 login access, your F2P EA games, registered serial keys, etc. Steam is secured much better than this and is why I personally stick with it.
I'll mumble and grumble about origin for BF3, simply because its BF3. I'll most likely pass on other games, even if the game peaks my curiosity. This is what happened with me and GFWL too-- any game that included this made me feel like I didn't really need that game.

Sep 2nd 2011 11:51AM (Joystiq)Take note IW/Sledgehammer. Notice the distinct lack of slow motion? BF3 doesn't need that shit to make itself look good.
