what? where have you been for the past year? ATI has done the exact same thing as Intel with the 48xx series, drawing more efficiency out of their designs and targeting the mainstream instead of the hardcore.

these actually turned up late last week, with almost no fanfare. still missing the big 10 network, though.

not a bad list, though from his tastes I was kind of hoping he'd pick something a little more edgy, like battle royale or sympathy for mr. vengeance.

if you have a half-price books near you, the game is either $5.99 or $3.99 (can't remember which). mine had a ton the last time I was there.

I hate it. it's easily 4 to 5 times slower than the previous version in switching channels, not to mention the entire interface seems sluggish at best; they've also disabled the on-the-fly aspect ratio switching, which was extremely helpful when text was being cut off and the image needed to be stretched (I usually set it to fill/zoom on SD content). instead of being able to toggle through the different options (4:3, stretch, zoom), I now have to go through the settings menu and wade through their seemingly random ordering of tabs.

I consider myself extremely lucky in having picked up zoo keeper, clubhouse games, and electroplankton ages ago when they were released. I've also got tetris ds, trace memory, & hotel dusk fromwhen they were on clearance at target & toys r us.

I'm still searching for a reasonably priced copy of advance wars: dual strike and lost in blue, though.
