Interesting, because this comes hot off the heels of information that Microsoft is one step closer to the start of opening MS Retail Stores. I wonder which brand will have the better looking store?
Fake (I hope), because it is not a creative one. This is just a hodge-podge of beginner Photoshop techniques. The light blue tenticle's are a basic vector technique. The blur behind the word "Settings" is just a motion blur. Finally you can see part of the mouse pointer arrow on the far right of the screen, right smack dab in the middle.

I wish I could remember other RPG's of the time, but some were hovering around the $100 price tage brand new, or about $150 today!
