US copies of Super Mario 3D Land also include firmware update

No think higher. Why do you steal a game? Cuz you don't want to spend $50 or $40 and you want a NEW game, not one from 2009 that's $10. If you make the game extremely cheap more people will buy it and you make more.

Take a look at TF2. The game is $10 and it's made more than enough money. Valve said it many times. Then they made it free and it made even more.

Spotify has shown a turn around in piracy b/c it makes it so convenient to get your music. For $60 a year you can listen unlimitedly and save your playlists to mobile phones. You no longer have to have the music on your HDD. The music loads so fast that you can just have a playlist or listen to new songs like it was a radio.

Piracy takes time. Find a way to reduce people's cost and time of buying new games and you will destroy piracy. That's one reason the Apple App store flourishes too. Most games are free or so cheap ($0.99) that you'd waste your time trying to jailbreak your phone for a few dollars in savings.

This was specifically to not let you play the game unless you had the firmware installed to stop piracy.

They need to take a note from Pandora. Instead of trying to stop hackers with frimware updates and anti piracy bull, they should instead make it so easy to play the games (or cheap) that it inconveniences you to pirate them. Make the games $5 and downloadable and I'm sure everyone in the world would buy it.

@MayorMikeHaggar

There's debate by what is cheating though. Is boosting cheating? Is taking turns killing your friends for achievements cheating? Is getting better hard ware like keyboards that support macros cheating? Or do you have to have an aimbot or wall hack to be a cheater? There's lots of variables.

Number 1 problem is games. Horrible launch line up. And they need some really amazing games for casuals and hardcores a like. Wii was so full of crap it's not even funny.

Yeah. Only thing I can recommend is to do is find an empty server and try to level up with a buddy.

Caspian Border 64 player conquest is the best. I don't see how 32 players can compare.
