Double Fine Kickstarter hits 3 million, drive closing on Ustream [update: corrected time]

Mar 13th 2012 2:53PM (Joystiq)
Made my $110 donation so they can send me the goodies all the way to the UK. I have always been a big fan of Tim Schafer, so much so I write my dissertation on the changing effect of narrative in video games over the past 3 decades and dedicated a chapter to the fine fellow. Looking forward to this new endeavour of theirs, it is a wonderful thing to see a genuinely brilliant developer have so much love and support from their fans.

But dammit did I want that hardback art book and signed poster. Shouldn't have waited and should have more money!

XBLA Summer of Arcade releases dated, buy them all for free Crimson Alliance

Bastion and ITSP have been on my radar for quite some time and From Dust also looks pretty great, but I don't want to spend too much, have bought myself an early birthday present in the way of Microsoft points (4,200) and I am looking forward to spending them though to be honest probably on Bastion, ITSP, some ME2 dlc, Trenched (when it finally releases in the UK) and Stacking.

There should be a system in place where by if you have already bought the game you should be able to download it at least at a discounted price on 360, if not for free.

The Jump hero - I think I watched the whole thing without blinking (bad idea)
Anyway, all these games look interesting in their own way. I personally look forward to this event. Lovely stuff.

Creepy ad, you can build him! However, this will still probably have users by the millions logging in.

Interestingly, I saw the game QUBE in development. I went to university and graduated on the same course as the guys who made that game. I however wish I could have been in this wonderful party.

Brilliant coverage of e3 Joystiq, you seem to be a wonderful team too. Glad to see you all enjoy what you do so much. Oh to be a games reviewer, now that would be good.

truly a CGI masterpiece.

Alice: Madness Returns launch trailer is comparatively sane

Jun 3rd 2011 2:48AM (Joystiq)
What a fantastic launch trailer, suitably creepy while showcasing the fantastic imagination that has gone into this title. Personally I think it should be pretty great and with the added incentive of the first game being bundled in it is hard to resist. However, with no money I suppose I shall have to wait a little longer to return to wonderland.
