The Daily Grind: When has an MMO creeped you out?
Oct 13th 2010 10:08AM (Massively)When WotLK was released, I was near Icecrown Citadel by myself doing some farming. I had taken vacation that week and the zone was nearly empty because I was slightly ahead of the curve.
All of a sudden, I fell down this hole into a cavern. When I turned the camera, this little boy was standing in this strange cave by himself. It creeped me out. I had not started the Matthias Lehner questline yet, and it was a shock to see that kid in the middle of this evil area.

Aug 2nd 2010 4:21PM (Massively)I only mention this because the F2P model fits me perfectly. I am a person who loves the game but can only play it when both my students (i teach as well) and I are on breaks. It is hard to justify a monthly payment when I am unsure as to the amount of time I can play. Being able to spend a few dollars here and there on a character when I can play is a fantastic opportunity.
Let me assuage any fears that the game's quality has decreased.
One piece of advice though: buy the mines of moria expansion rather than the two classes individually. It will save you money.

Feb 23rd 2010 3:18PM (Massively)I don't mind paying for things in a RMT game. But, if the game depends on an absurd pricing model in the Cash Shop to make the game fun, it will fail.

Feb 17th 2010 9:42PM (Massively)It has gotten better. But, let's just say I did not sub. It is missing some mandatory things that define good MMOs. The lack of different armors looks is not made up for by being able to dye items. With that being one example, the game just feels sloppy.
I will say this, though. Some of the classes are downright fun but the rest of the game doesn't make me want to pay money to play.
