I just started playing Fallout 1 last week. This was due to the fact that I was barely out of diapers when it was released, and that Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games of all time.
I feel it holds up well, in no small part to the NMA high resolution patch. If anyone is looking to replay it, then I suggest downloading that. I was unable to get it working with the Steam version, but it worked perfectly with the GOG version.
It's been said a thousand times before - but that Activision remain as profitable as they are, while having absolutely no respect whatsoever for the gamers is despicable.
With EA becoming more and more successful behind them, I don't like where the mindset for gaming as a business could be in 10 years time.
I'm obliged to put an "imo" down here, so there it is.
@JakeAuditore On launch day, the masses scanned the server list and spotted two types: The "Heavy" servers, that were where the majority of the early access members had converged, and they spotted the servers labelled "Light", which were constructed specifically for them.
Acting with the incompetence that humans all too often do, they swarmed the "Heavy" servers, pushing them beyond "Full". Now, on the European servers anyway, there are 3 or 4 "Full" servers, 1 or 2 "Heavy" servers, and about 12 "Light" servers. This has caused huge, pointless server queues.
