I paid very little for Flower. Braid, Limbo and other high quality 'short' games, so why should this be $50? The reason is because they're gambling they can make more money because they know the hadrcore are starved of Kinect games, and if they do make more money, it'll happen again. It's akin to the Modern Warfare maps and live arcade games going up. Enough people pay the money to ensure they won't come down again.

Also, people will pay a lot of money for a couple of hours quality live entertainment, but maybe won't pay $50 for a DVD of their favourite movie ever, even though they'll watch it over and over again. Value is unfortunately not logical, it's just a value placed on a product by how much the masses demand it.

I'll personally wait it out, but buy it new when I see it drop, then hopefully I'll have supported the developer but send the message that it was too expensive to start with. Futile probably, if it sells well, I'll be waiting a while, and like the MW maps it will be like trying to change the tides by urinating in the ocean, but oh well.......

@Blackbird Didn't the PSP games review really well? I was under the impression they were good games in their own right, not just because they were portable. It's not for everyone I know, but I've played the trilogy, and wouldn't mind picking these up if the price is right.

It's nice to see them trying to combat the fat gamer stereotype. They just need to tie in Resistance 3 with a brothel chain and they're done.

Didn't set my world on fire, especially because I live in the UK and therefore the PSVita is not probably going to be the enticing prosspect it is in the USA price-wise. Still better than Microsoft though; I own both consoles and I know that'll I'll be buying more Sony exclusives than MS in the coming months by the looks of things. Sony would have had to go some to do worse than the MS conference, I was sore from cringing so much. Now it lays with Nintendo to wow us with it's mind-reading tea maker with crumpets addon.

Aaarrgh must.....fight....hardcore....snobbery....it's good that the masses are getting into video games, right? right?

@Raffi256 The zillions of people that bought Just Dance on Wii aren't listening! It's never about the best product with the general public, just marketing. Luckily Microsoft are pretty good at that.

@Papytendo I thought the antagonists physical and voice acting was really well done. The script seemed decent too, and I was surprised that I was interested in it. Let's hope that's indicative of the final game.

@convergecrew Yep, we might as well argue about what is the one true religion for all the good it will do ( we all know its Jedi anyway). I for one am fed up with FIFA clubs. I've played clubs constantly since 09 and it's got so full of bad decisions, lag, and loopholes that I really don't know if I'll buy the next one. If they just came out and said 'FIFA 12 will be FIFA 11 with all the crap fixed, nothing more', I'd probably shell out. Instead they leave it all in there, and just add a new gimmick for their sales pitch.

@ProtosharK Take-instruction-directly-because-of-your-inability-to-improvise-ball? too long? lol seriously I don't think any sports perfect, certainly not our football (and I mean the uk originating one). I despair at the crap that goes on. Diving, cheating, corrupt organisations and referees, it's all there.

@Cleric Indeed, there didn't appear to be any freedom, so what was the point? As a storytelling device it could be marginally less irritating than watching crappy actors talking at you though.
