Like others, I think if it's simply co-op then I'll embrace it. The idea of PvP deathmatch with ME's gameplay mechanics doesn't sound very appealing to me.

Unrelated question; is this game also going to be exclusive to Origin, like BF3?

Woah, August 24th? That's sooner than I expected. From what I've seen so far, it looks like it would be great fun with some friends.
