Uncharted 3 will use PSN Pass to combat piracy, make money on used games

Oct 8th 2011 1:59AM (Joystiq)
@Servbot41 Gamestop does not offer different values based upon the activation code. There is no way to verify whether the code has been activated or not, thus no difference in price.

PS3 firmware 3.70 now live, adds automatic trophy sync and shuffles video services around

@Nintendo Tim

I read your article on your blog, it's horrible. I would stop reviewing things if I were you.

0 comments because your bias just abounds. Horrible review. Sony is trying to entice people to pay for a service that they don't have to. As a result, they are adding features that are unique and SHOULD be exclusive for people who would like to pay for those features. I think it's crap that you just have to pay to play a game on-line with your friends, when you already pay internet. F' that. Counter-strike and steam have it right. And I have something called a computer, which can play netflix and hulu (BETTER) than the xbox or PS3. Stop being a homer. Both offer different features and you don't have to have them if you don't want to pay. Stop acting like paying for one is better than paying for another when they are essentially doing the same thing. Oh, and auto-saving your games on the cloud (no matter what service) is a feature, not a functionality, it's a total BS that you say that they are going to give game saves to the cloud network for silver users. You know that you HAVE to have GOLD in order to get that feature (which means paying, something you said you don't have to to do). Your so lame. Learn that both systems offer something good and unique and both are trying to advance gaming into areas we have yet to travel

you said that xbox has stable servers? how about everytime a new call of duty game comes out it crashes? or how about this RECENT article in joystiq?

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/03/xbox-live-experiencing-service-outages-including-black-ops-and/

oh and on a side note, PS3 have something called a web browser, which can pretty much connect to facebook, twitter, or whatever the xbox does, and you can do that without paying an extra dime. What a horrible review, you should get out of the game, your lame.

Electronic Arts opening EA Sports retail store in Charlotte airport

Jun 14th 2011 9:05PM (Joystiq)
Too bad EA's sports titles (except Fifa) have been floundering over the years. This is just another step for a failing company to try to hold onto it's former dominance. EA needs to realize that it is no longer the power house it once was and get back to what it should be doing: making good games. Right now they seem to be blaming retail stores, DLC, used gaming markets, and just about everything else except for the fact that they haven't changed Madden or NCAA football drastically in about 5 years and the only games that are remotely successful are Bioware games and Battlefield. All proven, but the forumlas are still the same. Finally, with Battlefield 3 it looks like EA may finally have a good game. Close the stupid store (in an airport? seriously....) and make games. Let Gamestop, Bestbuy, Amazon, etc sell them.

Molyneux declares Fable: The Journey 'definitely not on rails'

Jun 13th 2011 12:10PM (Joystiq)
first off, why would he demo it off on rails if that wasn't the idea for the game?

secondly, if movement is just a matter of you pointing your hand at the screen and the character moves where the game makes him move, that is still called on rails. Just because you control when to move doesn't mean they took it off rails.

The main problem I have though: People will still by this waste of time, giving Molyneux some sort of justification in his narcissistic mind. I can't for the life of my figure out why people bought Fable 3 after Fable 2's epicly, lackluster finale.
