Rock Band Blitz gameplay trailer; Rock Band 3 tracks not importable

Apr 4th 2012 12:31PM (Joystiq)
I'll be honest: I don't think a lot of people would pay the ~$10 to export the RB3 songs to this game. I would! But not a lot of others.

Bayonetta making a cameo in Anarchy Reigns

From what I understand, she's DLC given free to preorders.

Also, from what I understand, that's all I need to want this game.

Street Fighter X Tekken producer explains absent Xbox 360 co-op

Mar 14th 2012 11:32AM (Joystiq)
@Co Capcom's fighters sell about the same on PS3 and 360 in North America. In Japan, obviously the PS3 versions sell more... but Capcom's fighters do significantly better business in the US and Europe than they do in Japan.

There's 'Zero Escape' for 999 fans on 3DS and Vita

"You'll be able to play in both English and Japanese, so you can practice your Japanese reading while you try to save a group of strangers from a nefarious game of death."

Aksys said, via a Facebook comment on their official page, that the text will only be in English. The voices will be in both English and Japanese.

There's 'Zero Escape' for 999 fans on 3DS and Vita

@aristokrat

Normally, I totally agree with you. I literally couldn't finish Xenogears until there was a Gameshark code that sped up the text. However, I'm fine with the speed in 999, because it changed speed according to how fast the person would be talking. In very tense situations, it goes super fast, and in slow situations, it goes more slowly. You can also skip all text you've seen before, even on subsequent playthroughs on the same game card. It actually helped my immersion in the game, and so I'm actually in favor of the text speed.

Dreamcast's Jet Set Radio coming to XBLA/PSN

The easy solution is a low-priced download for the original music, so the rights holders can get their cut without charging those who just want to play the game.

'Nintendo Direct' presentations in Japan and America tomorrow

Feb 21st 2012 11:04AM (Joystiq)
When NCL started doing these, I thought, "This is a cool idea. I wish NOA was in touch with its fans enough to do this." I'm glad to see they are. I'd guess that, given the audience that's likely to tune in for this, we'll see some Xenoblade.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations DLC named, priced, dated by GameStop

Feb 17th 2012 7:14PM (Joystiq)
One day, this will be on sale. It will be $7.50. I will buy it, and probably get even more than $15 worth of enjoyment out of it.

Why Sony passed on publishing Demon's Souls in America

Feb 10th 2012 11:06PM (Joystiq)
Good on Sony, though, for letting Atlus do it. If Nintendo had published it in Japan, NOBODY would have been able to publish it here, and Dark Souls wouldn't even exist.

Corpse Party butters up iOS in Japan

Feb 6th 2012 3:24PM (Joystiq)
Note to developers: never invest the time and money into making a console-quality release for iOS, because if you charge enough money to maybe possibly make a profit, this will happen.

I'm willing to bet the PSP version was a good deal more than 2200 yen when it was released in Japan.
