Codemasters giving Dirt 3 a Complete Edition

12 new tracks? Great! If by "new" you mean "came out as cheap DLC some 9 months ago"

Serious Sam 3 blood options include green, hippie and kids

This is pedantic of me, but the plural "kids blood" should still have an apostrophe in it (kids' blood), and it is still possessive.

Solve the Defense Grid DLC puzzle: It's for science, she's a monster

Sweet!!!! I've yet to find a tower defense game as good as Defense Grid - and not for lack of trying - so I'm stoked to see some solid new levels for it.

The Witness coming to PC and iOS, Blow says consoles are too old

@Coldpillow

But it's not just about money, is it? I'm guessing the guy has a long-standing passion for games, and is excited to see the enveloper being pushed, and building a game around a crappy, outdated platform just doesn't sound enjoyable to him.

More power to him - the current gen of consoles are holding games back.

Shame. It looks very cool. And that's coming from someone who normally couldn't care less about anything superhero-related.

Trine 2 trailer tours Frozenbyte's fantastic backdrops

Sep 13th 2011 8:02PM (Joystiq)
Looks really nice, but seems to rely on hyper-saturated colours even more than Trine 1 did. I'm willing to bet almost half of the pixels in some of those backgrounds are out of gamut, which makes for a bold first impression, but will eventually tire the eyes while actually playing the game. Ultimately, I find that to be a bit of a cheap way to do graphics.

Also, I hope they had some top-notch level designers working on the game this time. The bland level design last time around didn't do justice to the setting or the physics system.
