But judging by the miserable sales of PSP games in the US i have a suspicion that SOME of these comments are just trolling the VIta.. especially those that talk about just waiting for a custom firmware, or those that after reading this decided to now buy the system.

I guess you can say that the 3DS doesn't have a huge install base, but then again i also don't see how 7th largest debut for the 3DS is supposed to be good when it's a less than a year old handheld, where the other 6 titles did better with an even smaller install base. Some even pre-holiday season.
