man i'm so glad Saints Row 3 sells quiet well.. they really deserved it.
I really feared that people would overlook this game with Skyrim, MW3 etc. all out at the same time.. especially when the future of this franchise probably dependent on this one game.

Heavy Rain is still my favourite game of this generation.. did it have certain plotholes are other faults, certainly (even though nowhere near as much as some think there is)..
But i'd pick a game like that, LA Noire etc. anyday over CoD, etc.
I began to get sick and tired of games where the only mechanic was shooting anything that moves.. that's why i progressively stopped playing FPS until this year where i played less shooters than i ever did before.. We have come to a point, in my opinion, where FPS have nothing more to give to this medium other than the same old stuff (save for the occasional Half Life that delivers a solid story where you can overlook the fact that it's a save-the-world scenario)

But to sum it up.. yea we need more games like Heavy Rain, not necessarily gameplay wise, but in terms of story and importance of character development.

That's why even though i have a good enough PC i simply bought it for my PS3.. i learned from Saints Row 2. Some Devs simply don't seem to care too much about the PC. Which is a shame.
and you guys won't believe me but i literally just got the Platinum trophy about 20 minutes ago in Saints Row 3 too (ID: Kuntay for proof ;-) )... simply the most FUN i had with a game for a long time.
Already got myself the Season Pass for future DLC.. Can't wait for that and whatever Saints Row 4 will be.

I hope they get that to run on the PC somewhat decently.

well reading through the article i felt like the blog is probably either fake or from some bitter ex-employee making stuff up..

But when i read things like "But we had not enforced weekend work – during crunch people were given the choice to work one weekend day, but only if they chose to."

i'm calling BS.. there is no choice for someone who is working on this project for 2 or more years.. They know that, that choice is quickly transformed into a guilt trip for anybody who "chooses" to not work on weekends leading to this person either starting to work on weekends against his wish or be fired from the next project.

Crunch time, though understandable for the business side of things, is often times just a code word for exploiting employee's to work like modern time slaves

This sound really good and all.. but what's up with the current NBA teams?? when it comes right down to it i most probably want to spend the most time on creating my player or playing a season with my favourite team..

have they commented in any way how they'll handle the lockout?? any news on improvements in the myplayer and season modes??

to be honest that looks like it could've been a screenshot for a PS Vita game... (thanks to the jaggies i'm quite serious)
engines for this consoles generation and PC have long surpassed the facial expressions being something impressive to look at.. the next step is facial capture ala LA Noire..

could aswell be Max Payne 3 concept art..?

If there was ever any doubt that Ubisoft is worse than Activision or EA.. here is your proof..

Seriously the way they punish people who BUY the game, i don't blame anyone for pirating it.. Actually, i hope they do.. because Ubisoft doesn't deserve any money for the BS they deliver on the PC..

they should take a look at CD Projekt on how to win over gamers on the PC..

BTW.. don't act surprised if the same thing is required for Assassins Creed Revelations, which of course will come out months after the console release..

In a perfect world, Ubisoft (and Activision) would be close to bankcrupt for representing everything that is wrong in the gaming industry.

I'm sorry for the people who are behind some of the few good games they bring out who constantly have to worry that these big companies will blame THEIR failure on the studio and close them.
But i'm not at all sad when i see that Ubisoft got what's coming to them for screwing over their customer over and over again, even though it might not be related to this financial result.
