Case in point my ass. MGS4's ending actually makes sense in its own stupid way. ME3's ending makes no sense no matter how you look at it.

The father of mass effect..drew karpshyn left the series midway through me2. And it really shows. Imagine if jrr tolkein just passed the story of return of the king to some random bunch of people

I get the impression that me3's ending was written by committee. Just goes to show why game stories are crap 99 percent of the time. Too many cooks in the kitchen. No singular vision that can provide consistency

We should have seen bioware's handling of the deception novel as a sign of things to come.

@HardBoiled2009 imo hardboiled made the right decisio to avoid the series. Me3 destroyed nearly all my positive opinions of the series.

Gears of War cover mechanics + Call of Duty setting sounds pretty good to me. Presumably the players won't be able to soak up tons of long range damage like they can in Gears 1 and 2 (haven't played 3 yet). I'm glad the active reloading mechanic is coming over too. Honestly I'm surprised the Gears franchise is the only franchise to use that mechanic so far. It should be in every shooter IMO..

It would be sweet if they let players chainsaw each other though... even if it made no sense in the setting.

The storyline of the game is supposed to end in 2012. The whole "Ones Who Came Before" story is about preventing the world from being cooked by the sun. Since the game comes out at the end of 2012.... i gotta wonder how they will wrap things up in this game... if it is primarily set up in the Revolutionary war

I hope that Desmond has plenty to do in the game
