Just when I didn't think the podcasts couldn't get any worse, you prove me wrong by adding Arthur Gies. It's no longer a matter of these podcasts having no chemistry and lacking humor, Arthur takes them to a whole new low. Hopefully this won't last because thankfully he tends to bounce from site to site like a pinball (no secret why, he has the most grating personality I've ever heard on a podcast).
@chrisgrant After interviewing PR people in your earlier episodes, I was convinced these segments couldn't get much worse. Then episode four came along and you reset the standard for mediocrity. You interviewed the Chief Technology Officer of a studio on what amounted to their inclusion in Microsoft's marketing campaign. I want to put this into perspective for people; this is the functional of equivalent of asking your insurance adjuster why the Geico caveman isn't in many commercials anymore.
As much as it pains me to say it, I really feel like the podcast has taken a step in the wrong direction. I get the feeling that, for whatever reason, they're trying to create a mixture of NPR and another gaming related podcast, A Life Well Wasted. The format just falls flat, and the interviews are terribly dull to sit through. Again, I hate to say it, but this is the first Joystiq podcast (show, whatever) that I found myself fast forwarding at times. Also, I find it frustrating that Chris takes shots at fans of this site who simply didn't like the new format by saying we just can't accept change. Perhaps he can't accept the fact that the first show in the new format was incredibly dull - and it's all on him?
This is a goodbye post
