Trine 2 review: Trine to fit the pieces together

Dec 24th 2011 3:19AM (Joystiq)
Once again joystiq gives a horrible review. Not in the sense that it's a low score it's just a bad review. You can't really get anything out off it besides that the game looks good. This obviously wasn't the reviewers type of game. He's compaining because there's morethan one way to get past a puzzle. Thats what this game is about, having many different ways to get past the levels with all or just one of the characters. But the reviewer couldn't see that. He completely missed the point of the game which every reviewer from joystiq does with just about every game. He wanted one way for every puzzle and one way only. When it wasn't how he wanted it to be he knocked the game for it and gave it a lower score. It seems like joystiq does that with every game. I really can't stand joystiq and I don't know why I read their reviews. I guess it's time to quit. I can't stand people that say different stuff about games just so they can be different and not say stuff that other gaming sites and magazines say. Which is obvious that joystiq does it. When a new game is being showed and the developers show it to the masses I read previews from 5 different apps and 5 different magazines and they all pretty much say the same thing and then there is joystiq who comes out of left field with their opinion. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The third-person witchcraft of Sorcery

I don't know why people read the previews and reviews from joystiq and either get mad at them or change their mind about a game because of them. Joystiq is the worse gaming site there is. Everybody that writes for this site try's to be different just to be different. They are always saying the opposite things as other sites. And I know some people will say well it's their opinion, I just don't see how out of around 10-20 gaming sites you look at they all pretty much say the same thing about the reviews and previews they do and then there's joystiq being different just for different's sake. They write so much stuff that is completly different than everybody else that it's obvious they just want to be different. There's just no way they fell that different about EVERY single game that comes out. I mean look at what this idiot wrote, he said that the enemies take no cover they just run at you. This isn't a shooter moron. Your flinging spells not shooting people. You know how bad this game would be if everybody ducked behind walls and just popped their heads out. That'd be like the enemies in a god or war game or world of Warcraft taking cover. It's not that type of game. It's more like the previous two games I mentioned where you want them running at you so you can fling spells at them. This game looks cool and I can't wait to play it. It will definitely be the best move game so far. No it won't be a skyward sword but not many games are. But look at the Wii it took Nintendo till the very end of the life cycle to come out with a really good motion control game. The Wii has been out for 5 years and there is literally only like 5-10 good games on it out of like 500. I mean look at the top 10 of the Wii. There's Wii sports, sport resort and the rest are some type of Mario game or a fitness game. It takes time to find the right way to make good motion control games and sorcery is the step towards that.

The darker gray of Rainbow 6: Patriots

Joystiq is the worse gaming site ever. Everything they say is just to be different. 30 sites can give a preview on a game and 29 will basically say the same thing but in there own way and that one that is completely different is joystiq. It's obvious they do it just to be different for different's sake. Everybody will write how this is good but they don't like that and joystiq will write that they like that and not this. It's pathetic really. They need to just give their own opinion and stop writing the exact opposite of everybody else just to be different.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations review: Hanging on, letting go

Nov 23rd 2011 3:44AM (Joystiq)
Now would deco agley be a good time to jump in but I reccomend playing AC1 AC2 and AC brotherhood first. I don't know of you absolutely need too because I've only played AC1 and 2 but they are such awesome games that you might as well. Not to mention if I'm not mistaken you get the first one with revelations and you can get AC2 on the cheap and by the time you beat both of those brotherhood will be pretty cheap too. From what I read in reviews you at least need to play the second one and brotherhood before you play revelations but if you get the first one free with revelations you might ass well start with that one. They really are great games and it is one of my favorite franchises of all time. They really are that fun.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception review: Precious moments

Thank you. You are one of the smartest commenters I have ever seen or read really. Joystiq is bad at reviews. Plain and simple. They complain about 2/3 of BF3 and give it a 4.5 and can't find a single thing wrong with uncharted 3 and give it the same score.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception review: Precious moments

This game easily deserves a 5. Giving it a 4.5 which is the same as BF3 is ridiculous. After all the reviewer complained about the campaign and coop of BF3 which is 2/3 of the game and said it was uninspiring. Just goes to show you that joystiq is really really bad at reviewing games

Battlefield 3 review: Squad score bonus

Oct 27th 2011 7:56PM (Joystiq)
I don't understand how it got a 4.5/5 when the reviewer says 2/3 of the game was bad and uninspiring. This game has 3 legs like MW3, the campaign co op and multiplayer. In the review he says the campaign and co op are just bad and aren't fun and for all the destruction dice talked about there is barely any in it BC2 had more destruction in the first 10 min than this whole game has from what the reviews I have read say. It doesn't matter if the multiplayer is the best in the world if 2/3 of the game is just plain bad then it shouldn't get a 4.5. I can et any amount of money that MW3 will get a lower score but joystiq will say the campaign and co op is better than BF3 but they will still give it a lower score. Let's face it BF3 and MW3 are 2 different games and for the type of multiplayer games they are they are both the best at what they do for their respective types but BF3 tried to copy MW3 for the campaign and did no where near a good as job. I haven't played it I'm just going off reviews I've read. The campaign and co op for MW3 will b way better but I guarantee it will get a lower score from joystiq. To give BF3 a 4.5 is just bad reviewing but it's joystiq. They are horrible at reviewing games. From what I have read about it it should get no better than a 3. It doesn't matter if the multiplayer is great. Dice touted this game as having great everything not just multiplayer and to not knock of points for the things they did bad is just horrible reviewing. This isn't a multiplayer only game so don't treat it like it is.

Darksiders 2 preview: Death pays a visit

Jul 25th 2011 12:59AM (Joystiq)
This game looks awsome. The first one was really good and I loved every second of it. I hated when people compared it to Zelda and said it's just a knock off of that game and it wasn't that good. It was a great game and it's a lot darker than Zelda and really just has the structure of Zelda but is that really a bad thing. Everybody thinks Some of the Zelda games are some of the best games ever made so why not make it something like it. I also love the fact that they choose Death for this one. I kinda had a feeling they were going to use a different horsemen for it and I think it's great. I honestly hope in the next two sequels if they do them which I hope they do yet use the other two horsemen. Only problem is they will have to make the other two just as good or better as War and Death which idk if is possible but I think Vigil can pull it off. The first game was awsome and this one is looking amazing so I don't see why they couldn't. They deffinately have the talent.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg on True Crime, Bizarre Creations, the 'Hero' franchise, and transparency

Jul 2nd 2011 5:36PM (Joystiq)
Basically what they are saying is they aren't going to be making any new IPs any time soon. We are only going to be getting sequels and well established franchises. And we the gamers are going to suffer because. Activision is too scared to try something new and fail. So now all we will get is the same games with new levels and an added mode every now and then. They are going to just keep cashing in on established stuff like Call of Duty. Don't get me wrong I love CoD but every now and then I like something new. Yeah I can just play games from other publishers and developers, but wouldn't Activision want us, the gamers, to play their other new games, instead of just saying "oh well if they don't want to play CoD, then there are plenty of other games out there that we didn't make. I guess it really doesn't matter because besides CoD, Activision hasn't made anything that good in a while. Most of their games lately suck. If they didn't have CoD they'd go bankrupt fast. They better hope MW3 is excellent, what with the two main people gone who made the game what it is today. All I gotta say is grow a pair Activision. True Crime looked really good and it was in the top 20 most anticipated games for a while. It would have done good enough and made them money but noo, they are too scared.
