Well, the main reason your comment seemed a little suspicious to me was because you posted about how disappointing the game is in an article about the number of launch copies available. Judging from your replies, however, I do believe you have actually played the game.
Anyway, I can understand where your coming from. We can agree to disagree.
Just wanted to point this out since you posted this while I was typing up my last post: the idea of "separatism" was not invented by Star Wars. Here's the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separatism. While both movements are referred to as "separatists" the motivation behind them appear to be very different.
"And how do you know those testers are legitimate?"
Because they've provided proof that they are, in fact, testing?
Anyway, reading the rest of your post, you don't seem to like MMOs in general, so I guess a lot of it is taste. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "grinding" a boss. Grinding is doing the same repetitive task over and over again, I don't see how it fits into combat. Do you mean that the the combat is slow and repetitive? KotOR's combat was pretty slow and repetitive: it was the main downfall of that game for me.
Sorry Joystiq, but we kinda knew about this since Pre-Orders started. :P
Their reasoning is that they want a smooth launch. Their unstated reasoning is that it creates more demand (like what happened with the Wii launch). Either way, I guess it makes some sense.
"The gameplay itself is your standard grinding fare and there's nothing really to distinguish it from any other MMO outside of it being Star Wars."
This comment here makes me wary of the truthfulness of your comment. Do you mean that the quests are all "Kill X of Y" fare? Because they aren't according to many other testers and gameplay leaks- only the bonus quests are.
I wouldn't be so skeptical of your comment if it weren't for the fact that the last time someone went into the comments section of an article and started claiming they were in game testing and the game sucked, they changed their mind a few weeks later. Apparently they had "watched a lot of leaked videos".
Eh, I like Stephen Reid. We've certainly had more dev posts on the forums since he took over, and he expanded the dev corner section of Fan Friday into a full article on the development of a feature and a Q&A. Also, Dahlberg was terrible at managing people's expectations- he would constantly say "X event will be amazing!" and ignore the natural speculation of a release date that this causes. Stephen Reid is better at avoiding that.
Huttball looks really fun. By the way, this is totally the first time I've heard about it, Bioware. Just a normal person here, who never looks at leaks. I mean, that would be ABSOLUTELY horrible!

Kind of a baffling decision to go from one of the most anticipated MMO titles of all time to... well, Faxion Online.
