Where are the experts on Millionaire's "TV Week?"

Jul 31st 2008 2:57PM (AOL TV)
While I agree that today's episode was particularly painful to watch, the whole week hasn't been filled with same. A few days ago, there was a guy that made it all the way up to $250,000. This was pretty incredible given the fact that almost NOBODY nowadays makes it that high even on regular, non-specialized weeks. Plus, he even knew the answer to the $500,000 question, but didn't guess because he wasn't confident in his answer. That contestant kind of counter-balanced today's cringe-inducing episode.

Wii Warm Up: How's your browsing?

Apr 13th 2007 10:52AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I could never find myself getting "bored with the thing". The Wii browser is almost a staple in my household. Every time I want to quickly look up a topic, I just turn on the Wii and do a google search. If I need quick directions, need to check my email, or want to check my favorite nintendo blogs in the morning, then I always use the Wii. It's just _so_ convenient.

Nintendo's new Zelda falls flat

Nov 12th 2006 12:08AM (Joystiq)
I don't understand why people seem to complain that the Wii is "a gamecube with motion-sensitive controls bolted on." That's what the PS3 is. It's controller is literally a PS2 controller with motion-sensitivity bolted on. The Wii controller is designed to be held and used completely differently than the standard dual-shock. How are we supposed to compare the Wii to the PS3 and 360 when they are so fundamentally different?

Dude, where's my cursor (Wii annoyance #1)

Nov 11th 2006 7:30PM (Joystiq)
This sounds like a really good point. It would be great if developers provided some kind of indication (like a small arrow near the edge of the screen) where the pointer is. This is definitely fixable on the Wii OS via a firmware upgrade. Anyone know if upgrades are going to be possible/available for specific games (e.g. Zelda)?

Motion Sensor Add-on for your DS?

Aug 8th 2006 5:46PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I don't think this is so far-fetched. Since we know that Nintendo is already thinking about using the DS as a Wii controller, how crazy is it to think that the DS might have a tilt sensitive add-on similar to the rumble pack add-on.

To touch screen, or not to touch screen

Jan 19th 2006 12:20PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
In Mario 64DS I prefer to use the thumb-strap. It was awkward at first, but after a few hours it became very natural. I would liken this to the few hours/days that it took me to first get used to the analog controller of the N64 version. I wish more games used the thumb-strap...
