"saying "it looks like The Patriot" is like saying saying any screenshot of a WW2 game looks like Saving Private Ryan or Red Dead Redemption looks like The Unforgiven."
Um, that's not necessarily true. If I saw a picture of someone blowing a tank up with a pistol in a WWII setting then I think I would be justified in saying it "looks like Saving Private Ryan" (yes, I know the obvious fact that it wasn't really the bullet that did the tank in). Let LoneJester have his observation, it is completely valid.
On the whole, I disagree with your comment. But I can kind of understand what you are trying to say. Still, whether you are interested in American history or not, the new setting does make sense for the AC story. I'm expecting some story to be about how the influence of the templars reaches into the foundations of the U.S. or something like that. Given the enormous global impact the Americans have had over the last century, I would be surprised if the AC story tellers didn't work it in to their yarn.
Awesome! I only recently adopted my first Sony console and I liked the PS3 R&C games a lot. I was hoping something like this would happen so I could give the old ones a try.
If the club didn't exist, then you wouldn't complain. Why knock a free deal, even if you don't think it is for you?
I already own a 3DS and I don't own a Gameboy. It is much more convenient for me to download the digital copy than it is to hunt down a working handheld plus physical carts for each game offered in their virtual shop. The fact that I can do it with credit I earned for buying full retail games and completing surveys is a bonus!
It would be far more "stupid" for me to invest time and money into playing something that I can get immediately through my internet connection without spending any extra money. I understand the appeal of collecting so I'm not saying that finding the carts is "stupid" for everyone, but it is not for me.
Yes, this bundle is fantastic! You know, you can increase your donation amount if you really want to support them; you don't need to buy another bundle. Just follow the URL they emailed you after you bought the bundle and you should see the option near the top :)
I'm a bit surprised by the amount of negative feedback I've read in the above comments. Of course, to each their own but I think that Retro would do a fantastic job with Zelda! Why do some assume that they would make it first person like they did with Metroid? Did they make DKC first person? I expect they would identify some interesting features that would mesh well with the Zelda-style gameplay. That's what Retro does best! I'm all for this idea.
Cool. I wonder if it will have the new content that was on the DS version. I didn't like it as much as, say, the new content for FF6 on GBA, but more Chrono Trigger isn't a bad thing.
