@Roto13
how can you know it's a modified SD card? do you know what's the speed for Sony new memory cards?

SanDisk official price their ultra (30 MB/sec) 32GB microSDHC memory cards for $125.99
http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile1-memory-products/ultra-microsdhc-memory-card

whenever you're producing a new line of products, there always will be a premium price come with it covering R&D and initial investments. this is new line of cards, price will go down eventually.
you cannot compare prices of SD card now and say it's overprice. you should compare it to how the micro SD was priced when first launched.

Also Sony going for Proprietary to make standard performance for everyone and very game (SD cards varies), and for security concern to prevent transferring exploit into the memory card to hack the Vita.

It looks interesting to me and a fresh start which keep up with smartphone age. it handle multitasking in very well too.

The XMB is really one of the best minimalisitc & sophisticated UI out there, but too old now... maybe with later updates they will try to mix the two style.

Touch based UI is really easier and more intuitive than XMB, especially if they want to target wider audience and casuals.

To test this , try to give a 2-3 years old kid a smartphone/iPod for the 1st time. ...in few minutes they quite know the basics and how to find and launch games.
Now give them a PSP...they will just lose interest before they can figure it out.

I'm not saying that Vita is designed for kids or should be given to kids, no. just to point out that ease of use is what made iPhone become relevant on this age even though smartphone was old concept with windows mobile 6 and Symbian but they were not intuitive to use for casual people.

@Angie7F I'm sure SquareEnix will expand on US, since they already going to release "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" to Android, with Xperia PLAY as the flagship device with timed exclusivity.

you're right PSP analog nub is better than these 2 touch analogs. but you can get use to it.

I wish they take note for the xperia play 2. The tech for physical slim joystick is possible, at just 1.6mm tall slim enough for a device to maintain a svelte profile
