@Khalus The patcher is horrendous but the files it is getting are still just torrents. You can literally start the patcher and as soon as the download starts close it, navigate to the torrent file in the FFXIV directory and use the torrent program of your choice to do it. Way more effective.
@Puertoricarious The exchange between these 2 gamers is one of the most respectful things I have randomly seen on the internet. Its nice to read a 1st post that isn't people bickering.
@HaVoK308 The animation is a little overdone to the point of hindering gameplay. Just trying to pick up an item a foot away, tap the stick to get near it and the character does a big flailing multi-step animation... and now I am way past the item i needed.
@HorsemanVI I was logging in just now to post this. The problem is most definitely about increased dead zone. Try to make minute adjustments for a headshot and the reticule doesn't move. Pull it a little more and it flies.
@Fakeassname Just an FYI: I also thought the wired 360 controller was out of production but apparently most stores just don't carry them. They still make wired ones right up to the recent model with black sticks and glossy guide button. Found it surfing newegg one day. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874103205 Hope this helps anyone who wants one!
I was confused by this article. When a game gives a co-op specific mode (spec ops, Resistance 2 co-op) we complain that we can't go thru the campaign together. So now they are taking a single player experience like campaign and letting a friend jump in... and we are complaining?
@straw hat "Actually, it's a fake regulating organization with no legal background run by Capcom and few other game companies, just to avoid real rating board emerging by the government like ESRB or PEGI." Um.. you know that that is EXACTLY what the ESRB and MPAA are right? http://www.esrb.org/about/ 1st sentence 'non-profit, self-regulatory' Its the same thing you described. The government has no say in game ratings which is exactly what they are ESA is trying to avoid. Government regulations mean stricter enforcement, means retailers are more selective in what they carry to prevent possible fines by breaking those regulations, means developers start pulling punches to ensure a store carries their product and they make any money. The MPAA is also self-regulatory, with ties to religion and notorious for taking bribes to give the ratings studios want, or causing trouble with rating to further their agenda on certain movies. And while I am at it, PEGI also has no ties to any European government.
