Um, Sony's computer division and Microsoft are famous for getting along. If you go to Sony's website, go to the VAIO laptop section, for instance, you'll see clearly in the upper-right corner "Sony recommends Windows 7".

Sony sells Microsoft software and Microsoft sells Sony computers (at the Microsoft store.) Although Sony and Microsoft compete very visibly in the game console market, for these very big corporations business is business.

Unlike fanboys, Sony and Microsoft don't give a darn that it uses each other's equipment and software in selling their (non-console) products.

@jordanbiffle Guess what? The Atom D525 *is* a 64-bit processor, so the name fits. If it's paired with the nVidia ION chipset then it'll do 1920x1080p HD video. Not too shabby. Heat is a problem in that keyboard-style case so you can't cram an i7 in there very well, but the 13W Atom does fine with completely passive cooling.

Microsoft keeps selling because people keep buying because they want to. Just because you want it for free doesn't mean it should be.
