Two Bosses Enter: Vanessa VanCleef vs. Cardboard Assassin

May 16th 2011 6:42PM (WoW)
but, more in the spirit of the original question - Vanessa, hands-down. Cardboard Assassin has NO damaging abilities, so no chance to win. Unless she gets bored of smacking a cardboard cutout around...

Two Bosses Enter: Vanessa VanCleef vs. Cardboard Assassin

So the real problem here is the cardboard assassin only lasts for 15 seconds (assuming it doesn't get smooshed by something first).

BUT. this cardboard assassin has to be attached to a player to be used in the first place, right? and the only stipulation is that the player has to have engineering. so...let's go out on a limb and throw a completely decked-out blood DK in to this mix. Could an uber blood DK with this cardboard assassin solo their way through the gauntlet in time to fight, then beat Vanessa?

Dunno. probably not (yet). but it's certainly food for thought.

Breakfast Topic: What not to do before Cataclysm

Jul 29th 2010 9:09AM (WoW)
creating any new characters seems like a waste...it sounds like the 1-60 quests are going to be much more streamlined (hopefully no dropping tons of quests because they're all grey, or annoying to complete?), and the actual process of playing the character while leveling up is going to be completely different.

Why level an alt now that won't get awesome skills till level 40-50, when you could wait for cata and probably have a much more enjoyable experience?

That said, grinding to get heirloom items IS something i'll be doing..

Rumor: Blizzard employees' real life names will not appear on the Real ID forums [Updated]

Jul 7th 2010 4:16PM (WoW)
I could understand doing something this drastic if there was a serious issue with anonymous posting on the forums...but...there isn't. Blizzard already has the names (and addresses, and billing information) of everyone that is able to post on the forums since you need to have an active account to post.

There is absolutely no reason to display a user's real name other than to cut down on non-hacked account trolling, which honestly isn't all that bad compared to other forums (especially the ones that you don't pay a monthly fee to post in.)

The best thing to do to avoid this and still play WoW? Switch to using timecards so you can put whatever name you wish on your account.
